Duke Basketball: Cam Reddish’s best gives Blue Devils serious title hopes
The Duke Basketball team has National Championship aspirations, but those dreams become much more clear when Cam Reddish is playing at a very high level both offensively and defensively.
Everyone knows about the greatness of Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett and the decision making and defensive intensity of Tre Jones, but it is the efficiency and play of Cam Reddish that will bring the Duke Blue Devils to the next level.
Reddish is currently averaging 13.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, but it’s the efficiency that the freshman wing has recently shot the ball with that strikes fear into opponents.

It appeared that Cam Reddish broke his shooting slump after hitting the game winning shot against Florida State, but Reddish’s shooting woes continued after that.
However, it was in second half in the victory over Notre Dame where Reddish became much more aggressive offensively and began to hunt his shot.
Against the Irish, Reddish finished three of eight from 3-point range and followed that up with a four of ten performance against St. John’s, and then scoring a team high 24 points in the win over Boston College on four of eleven from 3-point range.
Reddish then exploded on Saturday evening against Virginia, scoring 17 points, but more importantly, making five of eight from 3-point territory and six of ten from the field.
Even when Reddish was not hitting his shots, he was still very effective on the floor, impacting the game in other ways, especially with his long wingspan causing trouble for his opponents.
The best example of Cam Reddish impacting the game when he is not scoring is the victory over Georgia Tech, where he only scored seven points on one of eleven shooting and one of eight from 3-point range. Reddish was still able to help the team with six rebounds, six assists, five steals, and a block.
If the past four games show that Cam Reddish has shaken his shooting slump, the dreams of a sixth National Title coming to Durham become much more clear and into focus and the nightmares of opponents become much more real and terrifying.
Cam Reddish and the Duke Blue Devils will have yet another daunting task on Tuesday night as the team travels to Kentucky to take on the Louisville Cardinals at 9:00 pm ET.
