The Duke Basketball team used a big second half to separate from the Boston College Eagles for a victory on Tuesday night.

The first half tonight was very similar to the first half against Georgia Tech two weeks ago.

Duke combined laziness with bad shooting and giving hope to a severely less talented team and just like the Blue Devils were trailing against the Yellow Jackets, Duke was down to the Eagles at halftime 30-28.

However, just like so many other second halves this season the Blue Devils turned it on in the final 20 minutes and defeated Boston College 80-55.

The Blue Devils were led by Cam Reddish‘s 24 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Reddish was eight of sixteen from the floor and four of eleven from 3-point range.

Zion Williamson set a new career high in rebounds with 17 tonight to go along with his 16 points, three assists, four steals, and three blocks.

R.J. Barrett struggled with foul trouble tonight, but he was still able to put up 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block.

Despite having no steals on the night, Tre Jones‘ impact on the game was noticeable, holding Ky Bowman to just 11 points.

Bowman came into this game as Boston College’s leading scorer, averaging 20.8 points per game.

Jones was still able to stuff the stat sheet with 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a block.

At halftime, Duke was one of fifteen from 3-point but the Blue Devils were much more concentrated and focused in the second half, making six of its nine attempts in the second half.

The win moves the Blue Devils to 20-2 on the season and 8-1 in the ACC while Boston College dropped to 11-10 and 2-7 in the ACC.

Duke will now focus on the game of the week as the Blue Devils travel to Charlottesville to take on the No. 3 Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday evening.
