Jamison Crowder wins Battle of NY over Daniel Jones as Jets beat Giants
Two former Duke Football superstars took the field in New Jersey on Sunday as Jamison Crowder and the New York Jets took on Daniel Jones and the New York Giants.
There wasn’t much to play for when the New York Jets and the New York Giants met on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets entered the game at 1-7, just losing to the once winless Miami Dolphins and the Giants fell to NFC East rival the Dallas Cowboys in humiliating fashion on Monday Night to drop them to 2-7.

While bragging rights were on the line, both teams were just looking to finally get a win in what appears to be lost seasons.
It was the Jets who struck first, scoring on its opening drive and much like last week, former Duke Blue Devil Jamison Crowder was significantly involved in the touchdown drive.
Crowder caught three passes for 33 yards as quarterback Sam Darnold found the end zone, capping off a 13 play drive.
The Jets kept the momentum rolling as the former Blue Devil that now wears Green and White found the end zone on New York’s second drive as Darnold found his slot receiver for a 23-yard touchdown on a 3rd & 6.
After the first two Jets drives, Crowder would only catch one more pass as he found the end zone in back-to-back games and ended the afternoon with five receptions on six targets for 81 yards and a touchdown.
As the Jets led 14-0 over the Giants, former Duke quarterback Daniel Jones would respond, leading the Giants to the next 13 points, but a missed extra point allowed the Jets to have a 14-13 lead at halftime.
Jones rallied the Giants to take a 27-21 lead in the second half, but the Jets would rally to take a 31-27 lead and went on to win the game, 34-27.
While Daniel Jones statistically had a nice day, completing 26-of-40 passes for 308 yards and four touchdowns, he also fumbled three times, losing one, which directly resulted in a Jets touchdown as safety Jamal Adams stripped the former Blue Devil and ran it back for a touchdown.
Daniel Jones was also the leading rusher of the Giants as he gained 20 yards on three attempts.
Jones and the Giants will look to regroup as the team heads into a bye week at 2-8 on the season while the Jets and Jamison Crowder will travel to Washington to face his hold team in the Redskins on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00pm EST and the game can be seen on FOX.
