Daniel Jones, the former Duke Football quarterback, struggled against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football as the New York Giants lost yet again.

The New York Giants lost four games in a row entering Monday’s battle with NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.

Former Duke quarterback and current Giants quarterback Daniel Jones didn’t play well in the previous three games but in the loss to the Detroit Lions, showed signs of improvement and had a nice game.

Things didn’t go well for Jones on Monday night against the Cowboys as the former Blue Devil completed 26-of-41 passes for 210 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception in the Giants’ 37-18 loss.

Jones was also the leading rusher for New York as he gained 54 yards on six carries.

Ball security was an issue yet again for Daniel Jones as he lost two fumbles on Monday, bringing his total to eight lost fumbles on the season, the most in the NFL.

The Giants had a chance to strike big early in the game after Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw an interception on the first play of the game that gave New York a 1st and Goal from the Cowboys eight-yard line.

Daniel Jones’ lone interception came with under 30 seconds remaining in the first half and the return set up Dallas in Giants territory which the Cowboys were able to take advantage of and take a 13-12 lead into halftime.

Jones relied heavily on his top three targets, Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, and Golden Tate as all three had six receptions in the game. Wide receiver Sterling Shepard was out once again with a concussion.

New York only scored one touchdown in five trips in the red zone, which ultimately cost the Giants the game as the team now falls to 2-7 on the season, losing five straight games.

Daniel Jones and the New York Giants will try and get a win against their crosstown rival the New York Jets, who also desperately need a win. The game will obviously be played at MetLife Stadium, but it will be a Jets home game on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00pm EST and can be seen on FOX.
