No rest for weary: Duke basketball reschedules Clemson game
By Matt Giles
The Duke basketball schedule now includes a makeup bout against Clemson.
A few weeks ago, the Duke basketball team saw two of its ACC games postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests among the Blue Devils.
Then earlier this month, the program announced that its road contest against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish — initially on tap for New Year’s Day — will take place on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). That’s only two days after a road battle against the Louisville Cardinals.

Now, as of Friday evening, the road game versus the Clemson Tigers — initially set for Dec. 29 — also has a new date and time: Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET (ACC Network). The Blue Devils and Tigers first meet in Durham at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday (ESPN2).
No more than four days off the rest of the Duke basketball campaign
The changes to the Duke schedule equate to zero weeklong breaks for the remainder of the regular season, which concludes with Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game as head coach on March 5 when the Blue Devils host the rival UNC Tar Heels.
And the tight-packed updated calendar might not be ideal for a Duke squad that employs only an eight-man regular rotation. It also doesn’t help that one of the Blue Devils’ full-time starters, Trevor Keels, is recovering from a lower leg injury he suffered in the second half of an overtime loss at Florida State on Tuesday night.

Next up for the No. 6 Duke Blue Devils (14-3, 4-2 ACC) is a home outing against the unranked Syracuse Orange (9-9, 3-4 ACC) at noon ET Saturday.
