Will this Duke basketball team send Mike Krzyzewski out with a sixth crown?
In what will be the last Duke basketball season for five-time national champ Mike Krzyzewski before righthand man Jon Scheyer takes the reins, the program hopes to bounce back from its subpar 13-11 campaign. Fortunately for the Duke Blue Devils, who begin the year at No. 9 in the AP Top 25 Poll, the roster is pretty stacked and balanced with a solid mix of experience and talent.
The projected regular rotation could consist of up to 10 players.
Four are part of the heralded freshman class: Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin, Trevor Keels, and Jaylen Blakes. Two are sophomores in Mark Williams and Jeremy Roach. Then there are the two co-captains in junior Wendell Moore and senior Joey Baker. Finally, the pair of grad transfers are Bates Jones and Theo John.
Now that the season opener is only a little more than 24 hours away, it’s time to predict the final scores for every contest on the 2021-22 Blue Devil schedule. So here’s a complete look at every outing, one at a time, concluding with a projection of Duke’s postseason performance.
