Former Duke golf standout Kevin Streelman has a lot of ground to make up at the Zozo Championship.
The field is going low through the first two rounds at the Zozo Championship, and unfortunately for former Blue Devil Kevin Streelman, he is not going that low to be seriously in contention.
At the Par-72 Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, Streelman posted a two-over, 74, on Thursday afternoon before responding with a five-under, 67, on Friday.
Put those two scores together and Kevin Streelman is three-under par heading into the weekend and T-61 for the tournament.
Streelman is alongside Tom Hoge, Shaun Norris, Hideki Matsuyama, and Xander Schauffele on the leaderboard.

The former Blue Devil could not finish strong in round one as he carded bogeys on No. 5 and No. 6, following playing the back nine first, as he stepped to the fifth tee box at even-par for the round.
The same can be said for Friday’s round, but Streelman built himself enough of a cushion that closing with bogeys would not hurt too much.
However, Kevin Streelman was on fire after a bogey on No. 2. He birdied No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 before finishing the front nine with a bogey on No. 9. The back nine was more quality golf for the 41-year-old, with all pars except for birdies on No. 10, No. 14, and No. 16.

Streelman leads the defending champion of the Zozo Championship, Tiger Woods, by one stroke after he also bounced back on Friday from a putrid round on Thursday.
Adam Long, another former Blue Devil, is tied for second to last in the event after shooting a 77 on Thursday and 72 on Friday.
Aside from Adam Scott and Gary Woodland withdrawing from the tournament, Long is T-75 with Michael Thompson, only ahead of Naoki Sekito at seven-over.
Justin Thomas is the 36-hole leader of the Zozo Championship at 14-under par.
Adam Long will tee off with Sekito at 3:10pm EST while Kevin Streelman will tee off with Shaun Norris at 2:15pm EST as both groups will play the back nine first.
