New York Giants able to snap losing streak with Daniel Jones sidelined
The New York Giants were able to snap its nine-game losing streak with a win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon without starting quarterback Daniel Jones.
For the second straight week, Daniel Jones was sidelined with a high ankle sprain and despite a loss last week to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, the New York Giants were able to get the win on Sunday afternoon.
The Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins thanks to a second-half surge behind long-time quarterback Eli Manning.

Manning very well could have been playing in his final home game with the New York Giants on Sunday as it is expected that when Daniel Jones is healthy, he will resume his duties as the starting quarterback.
It is very possible that Jones will be ready to play this upcoming Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
The former Duke Blue Devil is dealing with a high ankle sprain that he suffered back on December 1 in a loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Jones has missed two games with the injury and he did not play the first two games of the season as Manning was named the starting quarterback coming out of training camp.
With Eli Manning as the quarterback of the Giants this season the team is 1-3 while Jones is just 2-8 as the starting quarterback.
Manning was 20-of-28 on Sunday for 283 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Giants’ 36-20 victory.
The future Hall-of-Famer was removed from the game on the Giants’ final drive to receive a loud ovation from the Giants fans at MetLife Stadium but it was third-string quarterback Alex Tanney who replaced Manning as Jones was declared inactive for the game.
Giants Head Coach Pat Shurmur said the team will take it day-by-day this week regarding Daniel Jones’ status but New York is hoping to have its rookie quarterback back under center on Sunday afternoon in Washington DC.
