The New York Giants will start Eli Manning for another week as former Duke Football quarterback Daniel Jones recovers from an ankle injury.

Daniel Jones will sit out another week as the rookie recovers from a mild high ankle sprain he suffered against the Green Bay Packers on December 1.

Veteran Eli Manning will start in place of Jones on Sunday afternoon against the Miami Dolphins and pending the former Blue Devils recovery, this could be the last time Manning makes a home start for the New York Giants.

Manning has won two Super Bowls with the Giants, wining the MVP in both games and the 38-year old signal caller has spent his entire 16 year career in New York after being drafted by the San Diego Chargers and a draft day trade sent him to the Giants.

Manning was the starter to open the season, but after two straight losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills head coach Pat Shurmur opted to play Daniel Jones.

Jones won his first two starts but has since lost the last eight before his injury against the Packers.

Sitting out his first game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, the Giants opened up a 17-3 lead at halftime, but the Eagles would come back to win 23-17 in overtime.

The hope is for Daniel Jones to play the final two games of the regular season starting next week against the Washington Redskins on December 22.

In his rookie season, Jones is completing 61.6% of his passes for a total of 2,374 yards, averaging 237.7 yards per game, as well as 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Eli Manning and the New York Giants will look to get its first win since September 29 when hosting the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 15 at 1:00pm EST in MetLife Stadium while the game can be seen on FOX.
