As the Duke Basketball team will take the floor in just a couple of hours against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the team will once again be without Zion Williamson.

Duke has announced that Zion Williamson will not play on Tuesday night against Wake Forest.

Williamson is still recovering from a Grade 1 knee sprain suffered on February 20 in Cameron Indoor Stadium against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

On Monday, Mike Krzyzewski would not say whether or not Zion would play against Wake, but he did say that Williamson was in the fourth, and final stage of the recovery process.

Tonight is the last home game of the 2018-19 season and Duke will honor its seniors, Antonio Vrankovic and Brennan Besser, but most of the world knows that Zion Williamson will be entering the 2019 NBA Draft along with R.J. Barrett, Cam Reddish, and possibly Tre Jones, making tonight’s game their last game in Cameron also.

Without Williamson in the lineup, Duke is 2-2, including the game against North Carolina where Williamson was injured in the first 30 seconds.

The Blue Devils got back on track with a resounding victory at home on Saturday against Miami and should do the same to Wake Forest without Zion.

Duke still has one game left in the regular season and that is the rematch against the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill on Saturday night with the ACC Tournament starting for the Blue Devils on March 14 and the NCAA Tournament starting on March 21 or 22.

Zion Williamson is second in the ACC in scoring, behind teammate R.J. Barrett at 21.6 points per game and also averages 8.8 rebounds per game.

With hopefully some more time to rest, recover, and practice Zion will be able to suit up on Saturday night against North Carolina.

The Blue Devils will tipoff at 7:00pm ET on ESPN against Wake Forest.
