After two road victories this week, the Duke Basketball team remained as the No. 1 team in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

The doubters have been proved wrong as the Duke Blue Devils went on the road twice this week and secured its first two true road victories of the season.

On Tuesday night, Duke went to Wake Forest and took care of business, 87-65, and then hit the road again down to Tallahassee to face the then No. 13 Florida State Seminoles and won on a last second shot by Cam Reddish, 80-78.

Despite the loss, the Seminoles still moved up to No. 11 in the poll.

Winning both games keeps the Blue Devils at No. 1 in this week’s edition of the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

Duke has a big week starting tonight as the Blue Devils host rival Syracuse and then the No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers come to town on Saturday night with ESPN’s College GameDay at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The rest of the Top-Five include the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines, No. 3 Tennessee Volunteers, and the No. 5 Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Duke received 36 first place votes, while Michigan received nine, Tennessee received 13, and Virginia received six.

The Blue Devils are 5-1 against the current Top 25, with wins coming against Texas Tech, Florida State, Kentucky, Auburn, and Indiana while the only loss coming against Gonzaga.

Along with the No. 1 Blue Devils, No. 4 Cavaliers, and No. 11 Seminoles, the other ACC teams that are ranked this week are the No. 9 Virginia Tech Hokies, No. 13 North Carolina Tar Heels, and No. 17 North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The Louisville Cardinals are the ‘No. 26 team’ after receiving 112 votes and being the first team left outside of the Top 25.

However, for the Blue Devils they will focus on the tasks at hand this week against Syracuse and Virginia in order to keep the No. 1 ranking.
