North Carolina Central will roll into Durham to take on the Duke Football team who hope to avoid the dreaded trap game.

This is the game that the Duke Blue Devils needed, a game against a clearly inferior opponent at home to try and get a little more healthy.

The Blue Devils are off to a 3-0 start with wins over Army, Northwestern, and Baylor with the former two coming on the road. However, the Blue Devils have lost many key players to injuries during those three games they can use this game like a bye week.

The main key for Duke is getting off to a fast start.

Duke cannot allow the North Carolina Central Eagles to hang around in this game and think that they have a chance.

This game is a great way for the Blue Devils to get some work in, work on different plays and formations and get ready for a big game at home next week against No. 13 Virginia Tech.

Quentin Harris stepped in very nicely for the injured Daniel Jones but the new signal caller still has some things to work on and although Head Coach David Cutcliffe said that Jones is progressing at a rapid rate, the Blue Devils have to assume it’ll be Harris behind center against the Hokies next week.

The Blue Devils defense has been beyond outstanding through the first three games of the season, but like the offense the defense has also suffered from their share of injuries and need this to be a recovery game.

With a major game looming, the Blue Devils need to take care of business and not fall into the ‘trap game’ idea.

With Cutcliffe at the helm of the program, the Blue Devils will come into this game with a business like approach and take care of business rather early in this game.
