Five-star 2017 center Marques Bolden still has not announced his college decision testing fan bases’ patience.

The top-ranked center in the class of 2017 is still undecided on where he wants to play in college for the fall. 5-star recruit Marques Bolden has narrowed his list down to Duke and Kentucky, but the 6-11 center still does not know where he wants to play and has no announcement date in sight.

Marques Bolden is a very talented center coming out of De Soto High School which is also the alma mater for current Blue Devil Matt Jones. He is an elite athlete who is able to score in the paint in a variety of ways and can also excel defensively. Bolden will be able to play a key role for Duke next season and be able to fill in the void at center left by Marshall Plumlee.

More from Duke Basketball Recruiting

Bolden announced early on that he was planning to take his time to make his college decision, but nobody expected him to take this long. He’s moved his decision date back from “December or January”, after his high school senior season, on his birthday (April 17th), and still has not committed to a university. Duke is still considered the favorite to land the talented big man but Kentucky has made several late pushes as well and we can never be sure until he actually commits to a program.

The college basketball spring signing period has already passed on April 18th, and the college school year is coming to an end with Duke students currently taking final exams and graduation next week. Marques Bolden still has a few more weeks of high school left with the semester ending on June 3rd, so he will have to make a decision sometime in the near future if he intends to enroll.
