Recruiting experts believe the Duke basketball team is on the verge of landing Cooper Flagg.

The recruitment of Duke basketball target Cooper Flagg could be coming to an end very quickly.

Flagg completed his official visit to Durham this weekend and many expected him to make his decision between the Blue Devils or UConn Huskies shortly after he returned to Montverde Academy (Fla.).

All signs have pointed to Duke landing the services of the top player in the high school senior class with every forecast on 247Sports, Rivals, and On3 favoring Jon Scheyer’s squad but the biggest predictions dropped on Tuesday.

Travis Branham, the national basketball analysts for 247Sports, placed his Crystal Ball Prediction for the Blue Devils with a 7-of-10 confidence that Flagg becomes the next member of The Brotherhood.

There had not been a prediction logged for Flagg since October 2 on the premier recruiting site.

Trilly Donovan, social media’s college basketball anonymous insider, also posted a video of the Blue Devil mascot which indicates a recruit’s announcement will be coming shortly in favor of Duke.

“When it comes to the top recruit in the class, I’d rather wait until I hear it from people I trust,” Donovan said in a reply post on X — formerly known as Twitter on Tuesday night.

“No matter how long it takes. I’m early on most everything else anyways.”

Flagg posted images from his photoshoot during his official visit on Instagram on Monday afternoon.

Duke basketball top recruiting prospects joined by other elite talents

VJ Edgecombe and Patrick Ngongba II — both 5-star recruits — were also on official visits to Duke this weekend with Cooper Flagg and it appears that Ngongba II is closer to coming to a decision than Edgecombe.

Duke currently holds the No. 4 recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports, with 5-star prospects Isaiah Evans and Kon Knueppel committed to the program as well as 4-star shooting guard Darren Harris.

All three players were also on campus for Countdown to Craziness with the uncommitted talents.

The Blue Devils would elevate to the top recruiting class in the country should Cooper Flagg announce his decision to join the 5-time National Champions.

No exact date or time has been set for Flagg’s commitment.
