2013 Chick-fil-A Bowl: No match for Johnny Football

The 2013 Duke Blue Devils were the best team in school history since the 1960s. David Cutcliffe led the team to 10 wins in the regular season and a matchup with No. 1 Florida State in the ACC Championship game. Duke was no match for Jameis Winston and the Blue Devils lost 45-7, but they still earned a bid to the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M.

The sad thing for Duke fans is that the Blue Devils were no match for Johnny Football either. Manziel threw for four touchdowns, ran in another, and the Aggies beat the Blue Devils 52-48.

Duke led 38-17 at halftime and again led 41-31 in the fourth quarter, but Anthony Boone threw his second interception in the fourth and the Aggies completed their comeback with a 21-point fourth quarter.

Duke finished the season at 10-4 with losses to Florida State, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, and Pitt. The Blue Devils were ranked 23rd in the final AP Poll.
