ESPN College GameDay was on campus for the Duke football game with Notre Dame, so who did Lee Corso pick?

Duke football fans have waited forever for ESPN College GameDay to come to Durham, and that wait was over as of today with the flagship college football preview show on campus for the Blue Devils primetime matchup with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

This is one of the biggest games the Duke football program has had in decades. Beating Notre Dame would not only keep an unblemished record intact for the Blue Devils but beating a premier team like the Irish would give instant credibility to a team hungry for more.

As always, the College GameDay panel made their picks, and here’s how it all played out.

Desmond Howard – Thinks Duke will overcome a motivated Notre Dame team.
Pat McAfee – Absolutely got the crowed pumped with an enthusiastic Duke pick.
Celebrity Guest Picker Ken Jeong – “This is our moment!”, picking Duke
Kirk Herbstreit – did not pick, as he’s calling the game tonight.
Fan Vote – Notre Dame 67%

Did Lee Corso put on the Duke football mascot headgear on College GameDay?

Lee Corso and his headgear pick are legendary, and when he disappeared from the stage during the picks segment there was some understandable concern.

It’s not often that Corso picks against Notre Dame, and when it came his time to pick the game, we found out why he wasn’t on stage.

Corso was escorted back to the state in full leprechaun gear with the Notre Dame fight song playing in the background, ruining what would have been a unanimous panel pick for the Blue Devils.
