Huskies sophomore center Donovan Clingan was the host for Flagg on his visit and each of their mothers were teammates at Maine on the women’s basketball team.
Granted, when it came time for Flagg to pose for photos with the UConn National Championship trophies and head coach Dan Hurley, there was another photo that was taken between Flagg and Clingan which each player wearing his mother’s college uniform while holding the state flag of Maine.
The photo means extra for Flagg’s mother, Kelly, and the Clingan family because Stacy Clingan passed away following a battle with breast cancer in March 2018.
