The Duke basketball program has made another offer in the Class of 2025.

Jon Scheyer and the rest of the Duke basketball coaching staff made another offer on Tuesday as Koa Peat has officially joined the Blue Devils’ recruiting board.

Peat, a 5-star prospect in the Class of 2025, announced his most recent offer on social media as Duke joins the nearly 30 schools that have extended a scholarship to the 6-foot-8 forward from Arizona.

Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina and UCLA are some of the programs to offer the Perry High School (Az.) standout.

Koa Peat has risen to the No. 3 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, following the reclassification of Cooper Flagg into the 2024 class.

Peat is the No. 2 power forward in the class, only trailing Cameron Boozer, a key Blue Devil target and consensus top player in the country.

Duke basketball already familiar with Koa Peat

Duke got an up-close look at Koa Peat this summer when he competed with Team USA at the FIBA U16 Championships alongside Cameron and Cayden Boozer as Blue Devil associate head coach Jai Lucas was at most of the games in Mexico.

Peat nearly averaged a double-double during his time with USA basketball and on the AAU circuit he led the Adidas 3SSB league in scoring.

Duke has yet to receive a commitment from a member of the Class of 2025 but its offer list now sits at eight prospects; Meleek Thomas, Cayden Boozer, Brayden Burries, Jalen Haralson, Cameron Boozer, Koa Peat, Caleb Wilson, and Khaman Maluach.

There has been no talk of Peat releasing a cutdown of his list, commitment date, or scheduling visits to his suitors but it appears that a visit been the Blue Devils and the 5-star prospect could happen in the fall.
