It was a historic performance from Duke basketball target Cooper Flagg at Peach Jam.

There may have been some doubters but it has become very clear that the two best high school players in the country are Duke basketball targets in the Class of 2025, Cooper Flagg and Cameron Boozer.

Both player have been in the spotlight this week at Peach Jam, specifically when the two faced off on Wednesday but it was Flagg who stole the show on Thursday.

Fresh off 21 points, 10 rebounds, and a victory over Boozer and Nightrydas Elite, the 6-foot-8 forward went for 38 points, 16 rebounds, 11 blocks, and six assists in a victory over ProSkills.

Flagg also had the game-sealing block in the final seconds with his team leading by two points.

Duke has been after the tantalizing prospect for over a year and while others have been coming after the Maine native and Montverde Academy (Fla.) standout, it still seems clear that the Blue Devils are the leaders in the clubhouse.

Rivals has two FutureCast predictions logged for the Blue Devils as the site has elevated Cooper Flagg to its No. 1 player in the Class of 2025 while the 247Sports Composite rankings still has Flagg behind Boozer for its top ranking.

Duke basketball could be getting massive news within the year

Duke still does not have a commitment from a member of the Class of 2025 but Cooper Flagg might not be in that crop of players much longer.

There have been many rumors and reports that have trickled out of North Augusta this week that Flagg will reclassify into 2024 — still with Duke being the heavy favorite to land his services after he had previously called the program his “dream school.”

The Blue Devils do have two commits in 2024 — 5-star forward Isaiah Evans and 4-star guard Darren Harris.

Cooper Flagg and Maine United return to the court on Friday, July 7 at 12:00p.m. ET against the PSA Cardinals.
