Duke basketball all-time scoring list: No. 1
- 4 seasons at Duke
- Career Points: 2,769
- Points Per Game: 19.9
To the surprise of very little, the top scorer in the history of Duke basketball is JJ Redick with 2,769 points over four seasons.
Redick entered and immediately averaged 15.0 points per game, which only got him Third Team All-ACC accolades.
Given the new state of college basketball, it’s interesting to think about when Redick would have left Duke for the NBA Draft.
Redick was a Second Team All-ACC selection after his sophomore season as well as a Third Team All-American but things truly took off for the iconic Blue Devil entering his junior season.
Over the course of his junior and senior seasons, Redick was a two-time Adolph Rupp Trophy winner, two-time consensus First Team All-American, two-time First Team All-ACC selection, two-time ACC Player of the Year, and two-time Most Valuable Player of the ACC Tournament.
JJ Redick was also the National College Player of the Year of the year after his senior season in which he averaged 26.8 points per contest and eventually saw his No. 4 raised to the rafters inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Records are made to be broken but it’s tough to see anyone breaking JJ Redick’s all-time scoring record at Duke.
