Duke basketball all-time scoring list: No. 3

  • 4 seasons at Duke
  • Career Points: 2,460
  • Points Per Game: 16.6

Arguably the best player in the history of Duke basketball, Christian Laettner, is slotted at No. 3 on the Blue Devil all-time scoring list after scoring 2,460 points during his tenure.

Laettner holds NCAA Tournament records for the most points scored, free throws made, games won, and games played.

He is a two-time National Champion in 1991 and 1992 and was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player during Duke’s first title run.

The member of the USA Basketball Dream Team was the National College Player of the Year, two-time ACC Player of the Year, and consensus First Team All-American in 1992 while also being named as the ACC Athlete of the Year for the second straight season.

The iconic No. 32 jersey is retired by the Duke program.

Christian Laettner might not hold the record for most points scored in a Blue Devil uniform but he is widely considered as the best player to ever step on the court for Duke.
