Duke basketball: Jeremy Roach appears in walking boot at K Academy
The Duke basketball point guard appears to be in a walking boot.
Jeremy Roach‘s return to Durham was not the welcome sight to the eyes of Duke basketball fans as many thought they would have been.
Roach, along with many other past and current Blue Devils, are back on campus for the annual K Academy and the pre-camp picture which featured all of the campers, coaches, and Mike Krzyzewski.
However, it was apparent that, looking around the legs of those in the picture, that Jeremy Roach was in a walking boot.
The Duke captain announced that he would enter the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility on April 10 but only needed until May 15 to remove his name from the draft and return to the Blue Devils.
Jeremy Roach was not invited to the NBA G-League Combine or the NBA Draft Combine, which made his decision to return to Duke a lot easier.

There has been no announcement on why Jeremy Roach is in a walking boot from the team but it’s clearly something to monitor throughout the summer as many have the Blue Devils pegged as the No. 1 team entering the 2023-24 campaign.
However, Roach had been dealing with a toe injury for a large majority of his junior season.
Duke also returns freshmen Kyle Filipowski, who underwent offseason hip surgery, and Mark Mitchell from last season while 5-star prospects Sean Stewart and TJ Power complete the team’s recruiting class.
