No. 3 Greatest Duke basketball careers in NBA: Jayson Tatum

NBA Career Stats: 22.5 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 3.3 APG, 0.7 BPG, 1.1 SPG, 45.8 FG%, 37.5 3PT%

Perhaps some recency bias but we have now come to the first active player in the countdown.

However, when the dust has settled in many years it’s likely that Jayson Tatum will be the best player to ever wear an NBA uniform that came out of Duke.

In just six seasons in the NBA, Tatum is already a four-time All-Star, Most Valuable Player of the All-Star Game in 2023, two-time All-NBA First Team selection, and an All-NBA Third Team selection.

Tatum was also named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and would go on to win the Most Valuable Player of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2022.

The No. 3 overall pick is playing in the fourth Eastern Conference Finals of his career and has already advance to the NBA Finals once.

Jayson Tatum just scored the most points ever (51) during a Game 7 in NBA Playoff history against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The resume is already impressive for Tatum and it is only going to grow for the 25-year old.

The smart money is on him becoming the best ever Blue Devil in the NBA.
