No. 10 Greatest Duke basketball careers in NBA: Christian Laettner

NBA Career Stats: 12.8 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.1 BPG, 48.0 FG%, 26.1 3PT%

Christian Laettner is arguably the most hated player in the history of college basketball.

All he did was win with the Blue Devils, two National Championships and still holds numerous NCAA Tournament records that will likely never be broken.

However, he wasn’t too shabby as an NBA player either.

Laettner was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1993 and as an NBA All-Star in 1997 as he scored 11,121 points in his 13-year career.

The biggest knock on Laettner’s time in the NBA was his lack of sustainability after he played for six different teams and was traded six times.

The 6-foot-11 forward never spent more than three full seasons with any franchise but something should be said for his ability and value that drew other teams towards him.

Christian Laettner makes the list as one of the best Duke players to suit up in the NBA but with the influx of Blue Devils to the association his time could be limited.
