Duke basketball: Kyle Filipowski sick on bench due to nerves
The moment of the NCAA Tournament got to Duke basketball freshman Kyle Filipowski.
Even for star freshman Kyle Filipowski the stage of the NCAA Tournament was intimidating to the Duke basketball forward.
Filipowski started for the No. 5 seed Blue Devils in its Round of 64 matchup against No. 12 seed Oral Roberts but his time on the court did not last long.
Duke sprinted out to a 15-0 lead against the Golden Eagles but at the under-12 media timeout the Most Valuable Player of the ACC Tournament was not with his team in the huddle.
CBS Sports reported that the Westtown, New York native was back in the tunnel as he was sick.
Filipowski did not have a reported illness rather team officials said he was just overwhelmed by the moment.
