Duke basketball lands 4 commits in Iverson Classic
The Duke basketball program saw four commits selected to the Iverson Classic.
The spring showcase season will be flooded with future Duke basketball player as the program landed four commits in April’s Iverson Classic.
Caleb Foster, Mackenzie Mgbako, Sean Stewart, and TJ Power were all named as participants in the event earlier this week although Jared McCain, who was named as a McDonald’s All-American, is the only Blue Devil signee that was not selected to participate in the showcase.
Foster and Power did not make the final cut for prestigious All-American Game.
Duke and Kentucky are tied with the most future players in the event with four signees for each program as not other team has more than two players participating in the Iverson Classic.

Dates have not been announced for the Iverson Classic, although it is suspected to take place in late April, but the event will take place in New Jersey for the first time since it was created in 2018.

Mackenzie Mgbako, a New Jersey native, is the highest ranked recruit for the Blue Devils while all five signees are inside the Top-20 of the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Duke basketball commits hoping to shine in spring showcases
Duke holds the second best recruiting class in 2023, only trailing Kentucky, according to 247Sports.
Jon Scheyer was able to formulate the top ranked recruiting class during his first year as the head coach of the Blue Devils and was poised to remain atop the rankings for a second consecutive season before being overtaken by the Wildcats.

It is expected that Duke will also have a number of participants in this spring’s Jordan Brand Classic but no rosters or dates have been announced for the event.
The McDonald’s All-American Game will take place on March 28 in Houston, Texas.
