Duke football begins conference play with problematic foe

Game 4: at Kansas Jayhawks

When you think of Kansas and Duke playing against each other, you think of basketball.

And yes, they will play in basketball this year.

The Jayhawks won two games in 2021 and even with an worse football history than Duke recently, expect the visitors to be favored.

Game 5: Virginia Cavaliers

They say that streaks are meant to be broken and Duke has lost the past six years to Virginia.

A win over the Cavaliers would give Elko and his staff instant credibility for starting off ACC play on the right foot against a team that has had Duke’s number for a long period of time.

Game 6: at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Duke failed to win an ACC game last year, with all but one of them being blowouts.

The game at home against the Yellow Jackets was the only close one, where Duke lost in the last minute.

Atlanta is a tough place to play but Georgia Tech is also having a rough couple of seasons.

A toss-up game for sure.
