Duke basketball X-Factors in Final Four:

Jeremy Roach

Jeremy Roach was arguably Duke’s most important player in its Round of 32 victory over Michigan State and Sweet 16 win over Texas Tech, and that will need to continue this weekend in New Orleans.

Roach is averaging 12.7 points per game in the NCAA Tournament while shooting 19-for-37 from the field over the four games the Blue Devils have won thus far.

The calm and steady play out of the point guard position will be a necessity for Duke on Saturday, and potentially Monday, because of the strong guard play the remaining three teams have on their rosters.

Jeremy Roach was one of the only players on the Duke roster to play well against North Carolina in the regular-season finale, and the Blue Devils will need their point guard to put together another outstanding performance against the Tar Heels on Saturday evening.
