The Duke basketball team begins its postseason run against Syracuse in Brooklyn.

Thursday night will be the first postseason game of the season for the Duke basketball team, and it comes against a rival.

The Blue Devils and the Orange will meet at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

Duke earned the No. 1 seed by winning the conference’s regular-season crown and will be taking the floor for the first time since its embarrassing loss to North Carolina in the regular-season finale.

Syracuse, the No. 9 seed, absolutely waxed Florida State on Wednesday afternoon, 96-57, but will be without senior sensation Buddy Boeheim, who was suspended for one game due to throwing a punch in the victory.

Boeheim is the ACC’s leading scorer but did not have much of an impact in the two regular-season losses Syracuse had against Duke.

Duke Injury Report vs. Syracuse

Duke appears fully healthy entering the postseason and should have all players available for its quarterfinal matchup against Syracuse.

The Orange will be without Buddy Boeheim due to a one-game suspension.

Duke vs. Syracuse Odds: Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

WynnBET’s College Basketball Odds lists Duke as a 13-point favorite over Syracuse while the total is set at 150.

The odds seem a bit odd given the dominance the Blue Devils have shown this year against the Orange, not to mention the absence of Buddy Boeheim, Syracuse’s best player and the ACC’s leading scorer.

Boeheim’s absence means one less scorer for a Syracuse offense that only has four true threats and one less person Duke has to pay attention to.

We will go with Duke to win and cover the spread while the total will go over the number listed.
