Duke basketball keys to victory against Syracuse:

Shot Selection

The zone defense of Syracuse lends itself to have teams launch deep 3-pointers, and the Blue Devils have successfully done that against the Orange this season.

Duke shot 47.6-percent from the floor and 37.8-percent from deep against Syracuse in Durham and a scorching 53.8-percent from the field and 46.9-percent from downtown in the Carrier Dome.

Perhaps the Blue Devils love shooting over the 2-3 zone, but this team should not settle for perimeter jumpers throughout the game. Instead, it should try and penetrate the middle of the zone with Paolo Banchero or Wendell Moore at the free throw line and let them kick to shooters in the corners or take it to the basket.

Tipoff is at 12:00 pm from the Barclays Center.
