Duke basketball keys to magical March:

Wendell Moore

Wendell Moore might be the biggest key for Duke entering March in more ways than one.

Moore is the junior captain of this Blue Devil team. He has to act like a veteran leader and step up in the big moments to guide this young roster.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native also acts as the team’s point guard when Jeremy Roach is not on the floor, and he has to value the basketball each time down the floor.

Point guard is not Wendell Moore’s natural position, and he is only averaging 2.0 turnovers per game. But guard play always wins in March, and Moore has the chance to become Duke’s trusty lead guard this month.

We will see how the Blue Devils respond after their embarrassing loss on Saturday against North Carolina on Thursday afternoon against Syracuse in the ACC Tournament.
