Although the 26-year-old Jabari Parker is on contract with the Boston Celtics, the 2013-14 Duke basketball one-and-done only plays sparingly. He has seen action in 14 outings this season, with zero starts along the way, and is averaging a career-low 9.3 minutes per game.
Parker, a journeyman who went No. 2 overall at the 2014 NBA Draft and is now in his eighth year as a pro, boasts the following season averages and percentages:
- 4.4 points per game
- 2.3 rebounds per game
- 0.5 assists per game
- 0.3 steals per game
- 0.1 blocks per game
- 47.4 percent from the field
- 50.0 percent beyond the arc (career-high)
- 100.0 percent from the charity stripe (career-high)
Jabari Parker and the Boston Celtics (34-26), now No. 6 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday in a road contest against the Brooklyn Nets (31-28).
