Ranking all 24 Duke basketball players in the NBA this season
By Matt Giles
21. Former Duke basketball forward Jalen Johnson
Jalen Johnson, who fell to No. 20 overall at the 2021 NBA Draft after quitting the 2020-21 Duke team with only a few weeks remaining in the season, has ridden the pine for the Atlanta Hawks as a rookie. Across the 14 games the 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward has played, he averages only 4.6 minutes.
The 20-year-old Johnson boasts the following rather disappointing season averages and percentages:
- 1.8 points per game
- 1.1 rebounds per game
- 0.1 assists per game
- 0.0 steals per game
- 0.1 blocks per game
- 45.0 percent from the field
- 37.5 percent beyond the arc
- 66.7 percent from the charity stripe
Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks (28-30), now No. 10 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 8 p.m. ET Thursday in a road contest against the Chicago Bulls (38-21).
