1. Former Duke basketball forward Jayson Tatum
As the only NBA Blue Devil to reach the 2022 All-Star Game, Jayson Tatum has played in 56 games — or all but four — for the 2021-22 Boston Celtics. The 23-year-old St. Louis native, who went No. 3 overall at the 2017 NBA Draft following a prolific one-and-done campaign in Durham, has started every game he’s played this season, his fifth in the league (all with the Celtics).
Tatum is putting up the following season averages and percentages:
- 25.7 points per game
- 8.4 rebounds per game (career-high)
- 4.2 assists per game
- 1.0 steals per game
- 0.7 blocks per game
- 43.4 percent from the field
- 32.9 percent beyond the arc
- 84.8 percent from the charity stripe
Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics (34-26), now No. 6 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday in a road contest against the Brooklyn Nets (31-28).
