2. Former Duke basketball forward Brandon Ingram
Brandon Ingram, who shined for the Blue Devils in 2015-16 before going No. 2 overall at the 2016 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Lakers, is now in his third season with the New Orleans Pelicans. The sixth-year pro and one-time All-Star is carrying a heavier load this go-round due to the absence of fellow former Duke one-and-done Zion Williamson.
As a full-time starter in his 45 appearances, Ingram boasts the following season averages and percentages:
- 22.1 points per game
- 5.7 rebounds per game
- 4.5 assists per game (career-high)
- 0.6 steals per game
- 0.5 blocks per game
- 44.8 percent from the field
- 33.3 percent beyond the arc
- 81.6 percent from the charity stripe
Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans (23-36), now No. 12 in the Western Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 9 p.m. ET Friday in a road contest against the NBA-leading Phoenix Suns (48-10).
