6. Former Duke basketball guard Seth Curry

Seth Curry, who played three seasons in Durham (2010-13) before going undrafted, is flourishing in his eighth year as a pro. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound sharpshooter began the season with the Philadelphia 76ers but was part of a blockbuster trade in early February that sent him to the Brooklyn Nets, where he now plays alongside former Duke basketball teammate Kyrie Irving.

Between his 48 combined games and starts with the 76ers and Nets, Curry boasts the following season averages and percentages:

  • 15.2 points per game (career-high)
  • 3.4 rebounds per game (career-high)
  • 4.1 assists per game (career-high)
  • 0.8 steals per game
  • 0.2 blocks per game (career-high)
  • 48.5 percent from the field
  • 41.0 percent beyond the arc
  • 87.8 percent from the charity stripe

Seth Curry and the Brooklyn Nets (31-28), now No. 8 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday when they host the Boston Celtics (34-26).
