8. Former Duke basketball guard Grayson Allen
Surprising to some, Grayson Allen is a full-time starter in his first season with the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks. The fourth-year pro, who went No. 21 overall at the 2018 NBA Draft following four seasons as a Blue Devil treasure, averages 28.0 minutes per game. And his intense style seems to be an integral component of the Bucks’ perimeter attack.
Between his 49 appearances, the 26-year-old Allen is putting up the following season averages and percentages:
- 11.5 points per game (career-high)
- 3.4 rebounds per game (career-high)
- 1.5 assists per game
- 0.8 steals per game
- 0.3 blocks per game (career-high)
- 42.5 percent from the field
- 39.2 percent beyond the arc
- 85.7 percent from the charity stripe
Grayson Allen and the Milwaukee Bucks (36-24), now No. 5 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 8:30 p.m. ET Saturday when they host the Brooklyn Nets (31-28).
