9. Former Duke basketball guard Luke Kennard
Fresh off a crisp performance in the MTN DEW 3-Point Contest, Luke Kennard hopes to keep the hot hand he had before the All-Star break; he shot 11-for-13 from deep between his past two games. The former two-year Duke sniper, who went No. 12 overall at the 2017 NBA Draft, is in his second year with the Los Angeles Clippers after spending three years with the Detroit Pistons.
With 50 games and 10 starts under his belt this go-round, the 25-year-old lefty boasts the following season averages and percentages:
- 11.8 points per game
- 3.5 rebounds per game (career-high)
- 2.3 assists per game
- 0.7 steals per game (career-high)
- 0.1 blocks per game
- 44.6 percent from the field
- 44.8 percent beyond the arc (career-high)
- 88.5 percent from the charity stripe
Luke Kennard and the Los Angeles Clippers (30-31), now No. 8 in the Western Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 10 p.m. ET Friday as the away team against the Los Angeles Lakers (27-31).
