14. Former Duke basketball guard Frank Jackson

Although it’s happening on one of the worst teams in the league, the Detroit Pistons, former Duke basketball one-and-done Frank Jackson is enjoying arguably his best year as a pro. The 23-year-old, who went No. 31 overall at the 2017 NBA Draft, averages 22.5 minutes per game across his 43 appearances. And he’s drawn a handful of starts.

In what is his second season with the Pistons after beginning his career with the New Orleans Pelicans, Jackson is putting up the following season averages and percentages:

  • 10.9 points per game (career-high)
  • 1.6 rebounds per game
  • 1.0 assists per game
  • 0.5 steals per game (career-high)
  • 0.2 blocks per game (career-high)
  • 41.0 percent from the field
  • 31.9 percent beyond the arc
  • 79.5 percent from the charity stripe

Frank Jackson and the Detroit Pistons (13-45), now No. 14 in the Eastern Conference standings, return from the All-Star break at 7 p.m. ET Thursday when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers (35-23).
