Duke vs UNC Prediction

Happy Duke-UNC day! One of the most storied rivalries in the history of college basketball resumes tonight as both teams come in on four-game winning streaks. The Blue Devils are one of the most balanced teams in the country, ranking 16th nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency and 17th in adjusted defensive efficiency.

With potential No. 1 overall NBA draft pick Paolo Banchero leading the way, Duke is 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven.

They’ll take on a Tar Heels team that, while a perfect 12-0 at home this season, has struggled against good teams. North Carolina is just 1-4 ATS as an underdog and has failed to cover the spread by an average of just under 16 points per game in those losses. They rank just 193rd in 2-point shooting percentage and have a tendency to force things when their outside shots aren’t falling, as evidenced by Caleb Love’s 3-18 shooting against a terrible Louisville team in their last matchup.

Duke has the 25th-best 3-point defense and the lowest defensive free throw rate in America, so North Carolina will need an outlier shooting performance to keep this close and I don’t see that happening.

I love the Blue Devils -3 (-110) and expect a statement performance as they end North Carolina’s perfect home record while showing how large the gap is between these two rivals.

While I love Duke today, I love a free $200 cash even more – especially when we don’t even have to win our bet! Don’t forget to claim your offer now. Bet $10, Win $200 by signing up for WynnBET now!
