The Duke basketball team returns home to face North Carolina State on Saturday afternoon.
It is a Saturday matinee in Cameron Indoor Stadium as the Duke basketball program returns from its 12-point road victory over Wake Forest to host rival North Carolina State (9-8, 2-4 ACC).
The No. 8 Blue Devils (13-2, 3-1 ACC) have not been on their home floor since an embarrassing loss to Miami (Fla.) last Saturday in which the team collapsed in the final seconds after battling the Hurricanes for the entire game.
Duke responded with a convincing victory over the Demon Deacons, but NC State also picked up a major win on Wednesday, a 16-point victory on the road against Louisville.
The Wolfpack have not been great this season, but both of their conference victories have come on the road this season (Virginia Tech, Louisville).
NC State is led by the trio of Dereon Seabron, Jericole Hellems, and Terquavion Smith, who combine to average 48.7 points per game.
Duke Injury Report vs. North Carolina State
Duke will be fully healthy on Saturday against North Carolina State, in more ways than one.
It looked like freshman Trevor Keels was injured in the final minutes against Wake Forest. But the guard returned to the bench at the end of the game, and assistant coach Nolan Smith said that Keels would be good to go against the Wolfpack.
Mike Krzyzewski will also be back on the sidelines on Saturday after missing Wednesday’s game due to a non-COVID illness, according to Steve Wiseman of the News & Observer.
