It is an opportunity for the Duke basketball program to respond after its defeat on the road.

After a disappointing effort at home against the Miami Hurricanes, the Duke basketball team will hit the road for the first time in ACC play against Wake Forest (13-3, 3-2 ACC) on Wednesday night.

The Blue Devils (12-2, 2-1 ACC) dropped from No. 2 to No. 8 in the latest Associated Press Top-25 Poll and have shown signs of regression after their COVID-19 pause following Christmas.

Wake Forest, like Miami, is a team in the ACC that has a good record and is looking to cement itself as one of the better teams in the conference.

Head coach Steve Forbes’ team’s only two losses in the conference came on the road against Louisville and the Hurricanes with a neutral site loss to LSU earlier in the season.

Alondes Williams leads the way for the Demon Deacons with 20.4 points per game while Jake LaRavia, Daivien Williamson, and Isaiah Mucius all average double figures for Wake.

Duke vs. Wake Forest Odds: Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

WynnBET’s College Basketball Odds lists Duke as a 4.5-point favorite against Wake Forest on the road while the over/under is set at 151.5.

Since returning to the court against Georgia Tech, the Blue Devils have not looked like they once did. But more time on the court should be able to fix that and get the team looking like a National Title contender again.

Wake Forest is looking for its signature victory on the season, and it won’t have many other chances with the conference being down this year.

Despite the challenges of being on the road, we will take Duke to cover the spread and the total to go under the number listed.
