The Duke basketball team returns to the court against Appalachian State inside Cameron Indoor.

It was hardly a contest on Tuesday night between the Duke basketball team and South Carolina State as the No. 2 Blue Devils returned to the court from a two-week break.

Appalachian State will come to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday night hoping to test Duke more than the Bulldogs, who lost by 41 points.

This game could be the final game for the Blue Devils before ACC play as the program saw its scheduled game on Saturday afternoon canceled after Cleveland State announced a temporary pause within its program due to COVID-19.

Duke is actively looking for a new opponent to come to Durham on Saturday for the final game of non-conference play.

Duke Injury Report vs. Appalachian State

After a two-week break, the Blue Devils were dealt a blow as Marquette graduate transfer Theo John suffered a back injury during the time off.

John missed Tuesday’s game against South Carolina State, and head coach Mike Krzyzewski called his forward “day-to-day.”

There has been no indication that Theo John will play on Thursday night against Appalachian State.
