The Duke basketball team finally makes its return to the court on Tuesday night. 

The 14-day layoff is over as the Duke basketball team will take the hardwood once again on Tuesday night against South Carolina State.

Duke’s last game came against Ohio State on November 30, in which the Blue Devils suffered their first defeat of the season.

Mike Krzyzewski’s team was ranked No. 1 in the country prior to the loss and dropped to No. 3 in the following week, but the five-time National Champions have jumped back up to No. 2 after a loss from Purdue, who took over the top ranking from Duke after its loss.

South Carolina State comes into Durham riding a two-game winning streak against South Florida and High Point, both coming by one-point margins.

The Bulldogs had previously lost their first five games to open the season before defeating St. Andrews on November 18.

Cameron Jones is the only player on the South Carolina State roster who averages double figures with 11.5 points per game.

After a two-week break, the Blue Devils will be fully healthy entering Tuesday’s matchup with South Carolina State as the team had been dealing with small, lingering injuries prior to its time off.
