Duke basketball takeaways in victory over Gonzaga:

Paolo Banchero is THAT dude

We all knew this already, but in case you had any doubts, Paolo Banchero is the real deal.

His debut to the country came against Kentucky, but he asserted his dominance against Chet Holmgren and Gonzaga.

Holmgren was the only high school prospect ranked ahead of the Duke freshman entering college, and the two will most likely be the top two picks in the summer’s NBA Draft.

Banchero went for 21 points, 20 in the first half, as he once again dealt with cramping in the second half and had to miss extended time. He also ended with five rebounds and two assists on 8-of-17 shooting from the field, 3-of-8 from 3-point range.

Paolo Banchero can score, defend, and pass and is even better than advertised as his game elevates as the stakes are higher and the lights are brighter.
