The Duke basketball program plays top-ranked Gonzaga in the most anticipated matchup of the season.

It is arguably the most anticipated matchup of the regular season as No. 1 Gonzaga will play the Duke basketball program on Friday night in Las Vegas.

Both the ‘Zags and the No. 5 Blue Devils enter the game unbeaten, although the Bulldogs have posted the more impressive wins over No. 5 Texas and No. 2 UCLA.

Duke’s biggest victory of the season came against No. 10 Kentucky on opening night.

The matchup will highlight the projected top two picks in the upcoming NBA Draft, Gonzaga’s freshman forward Chet Holmgren and Blue Devils freshman forward Paolo Banchero.

The Bulldogs also return All-American Drew Timme for his senior season.

A capacity crowd and high-profile celebrities are expected in Vegas for the biggest show in town this weekend.

All that is left to see is who will perform the best when the lights are the brightest.

Duke Injury Report vs. Gonzaga

Duke will be fully healthy heading into its matchup against Gonzaga on Friday night, but it remains to be seen if the Blue Devils will have junior reserve guard Michael Savarino.

Savarino has not been on the bench since his arrest in a DWI incident last week.

It does not appear the grandson of Mike Krzyzewski traveled with the team based on the program’s social media posts.

Duke vs. Gonzaga Odds: Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

WynnBET’s College Basketball Odds lists Duke as an 8.5-point underdog against Gonzaga at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas while the over/under is set at 154.

Gonzaga has been a freight train this season, dominating each major conference team it has played, highlighted by a 12-point home win over No. 5 Texas and a 20-point win over No. 2 UCLA in Vegas earlier this week.

Duke won and covered in its only game against a major conference team in the season opener against No. 10 Kentucky.

We will take Duke to cover the spread, and win outright, against Gonzaga as the total will go over the number listed.
