No. 5 thing to watch during the Duke basketball season:

Mike Krzyzewski’s Usage of his Bench

The one true criticism of Mike Krzyzewski would be how much he shortens his bench as the season progress, but this year he will not have that option.

Duke only has nine scholarship players who are likely to see significant time this season, and freshman guard Jaylen Blakes could be glued to the bench once the games become more important.

Krzyzewski has typically loved an eight-man rotation, and that is what he should have when March rolls around this year.

The question is, is eight enough?

It was in 2015, and Duke certainly hopes that is the case in 2022.

It all gets started on Tuesday night against No. 10 Kentucky at 9:30pm EST (ESPN) inside Madison Square Garden.
