Game 6: Duke basketball versus The Citadel
The Duke Blue Devils will host The Citadel Bulldogs, unranked to start the year, on Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. ET (ACCN) in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
In his sixth season at the helm last go-round, Duggar Baucom finally led the Bulldogs to a winning record, albeit at only 13-12 overall. But a top veteran scorer, Kaiden Rice, decided to transfer to Georgetown with his extra year of eligibility, which the NCAA granted every 2020-21 athlete because of their pandemic-sapped seasons.
The Citadel roster includes no players 6-foot-10 or taller. And not a one tops 225 pounds.
In other words, it would be a shock if the Blue Devils, again on the backs of projected full-time starters Paolo Banchero and Mark Williams, do not seize control early in this bout by imposing their will with brute force in the paint.
Predicted final score: Duke 99, The Citadel 54
The Blue Devils improve to 6-0 overall on the season.
