Game 27: Duke basketball versus Florida State
The Duke Blue Devils will host the Florida State Seminoles on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. ET (ESPN) in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
As alluded to in the preview of their first matchup here, the Seminoles will need strong play from their newcomers to remain in the AP Top 25 Poll and contend for the top spot in the ACC standings. After all, their top three scorers from last season, MJ Walker, Raiquan Gray, and Scottie Barnes, are no longer in Tallahassee.
But if there is one thing Duke can count on from Florida State every time, it’s that the Seminoles will be ultra-aggressive in a bruiser-like fashion while trying to force the Blue Devils out of their comfort zone. Perhaps that is Leonard Hamilton’s signature as a head coach.
In Hamilton’s final regular-season meeting against Mike Krzyzewski, though, his young Seminoles may have a tough time contending with all the Duke basketball bruisers when paired with the Cameron Crazies.
Predicted final score: Duke 80, Florida State 70
The Blue Devils improve to 23-4 overall (13-3 ACC) on the season.
