Game 21: Duke basketball versus Clemson

The Duke Blue Devils will host the Clemson Tigers on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2) in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Again, Clemson is no pushover this season, despite the seemingly reserved optimism among the ACC media. And Brad Brownell is now among the longest-tenured head coaches in the league, meaning he’s had plenty of chances to study Mike Krzyzewski’s schemes and whatnot.

With that in mind, consider that Brownell has bested Krzyzewski three times. That’s not too shabby. However, none of those games took place in Cameron. So with all things considered, including the fact that the Tigers are without a single projected All-ACC performer of any kind, it would be a bit of a shock to see these Blue Devils lose to them at home.

Instead, as we’re about to see here in an upcoming string of slides, this Duke basketball team could be approaching the beginning stages of its most impressive stretch of the regular season.

Predicted final score: Duke 88, Clemson 77

The Blue Devils improve to 18-3 overall (8-2 ACC) on the season.
